David Bowie – Heroes – °/ Testo e Traduzione
Scritta dal Duca Bianco (insieme a Brian Eno) durante il suo periodo berlinese, Heroes è la canzone che dà il titolo all’omonimo album del 1977 di David Bowie.
Il significato: nel testo troviamo il grido disperato dell’ultimo romantico sulla terra, il protagonista cerca di implorare la sua ragazza a non andarsene e a non scegliere strade più semplici, perché come dice lui nella canzone: «We can be heroes, just for one day» (Possiamo essere eroi, solo per un giorno). Lo sfondo di “Heroes” è il Muro di Berlino ostacolo fra due amanti e simbolo della guerra fredda.
Nel 2004 Rolling Stones Magazine inserisce Heroes alla posizione numero 46 nella classifica delle 500 migliori canzoni di sempre.
