Si tratta di un sequel del film horror soprannaturale del 2013 L’evocazione – The Conjuring, basato su un nuovo caso della coppia di ricercatori del paranormale Ed e Lorraine Warren. Come nel primo film anche qui la colonna sonora è composta da Joseph Bishara (Insidious 3), è stata pubblicata il 3 giugno 2016.
