It’s My Party è il primo e forse il più famoso singolo dell’americana Lesley Gore. Fu pubblicato quando aveva solo 16 anni.
Il testo parla di una ragazza abbandonata dal suo moroso Johnny nel bel mezzo di una festa. Si sospetta che il maialone se ne sia andato con una tale Judy e la protagonista abbia passato la serata a piangere… invece di cercarsene un altro, ‘sta scema 🙂
