Better Call Saul è una serie televisiva americana creata da Vince Gilligan e Peter Gould. Parte del franchise di Breaking Bad, è uno spin-off, un prequel e un sequel della precedente serie di Gilligan. La sesta e ultima stagione è stata presentata per la prima volta il 18 aprile 2022 e si conclude il 15 agosto 2022.

La trama

Better Call Saul segue la trasformazione di Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), un ex truffatore che sta cercando di diventare un rispettabile avvocato, nella personalità dello sgargiante avvocato penalista Saul Goodman, nel periodo di sei anni prima degli eventi di Breaking Bad , dal 2002 al 2008 circa.

Jimmy è ispirato dal fratello maggiore Chuck McGill (Michael McKean) a lasciare il suo passato di truffatore nell’area di Chicago, quando era conosciuto come Slippin’ Jimmy. Inizialmente lavora nell’ufficio postale dello studio legale di suo fratello ad Albuquerque, Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill (HHM), dove il socio amministratore Howard Hamlin (Patrick Fabian) diventa la sua nemesi. Mentre è alla HHM, Jimmy fa amicizia con Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn), una collega impiegata nell’ufficio postale che completa la scuola di legge e diventa uno dei soci dello studio, e la loro amicizia in seguito diventa romantica. Jimmy è motivato dal successo di Chuck a finire il college e completare gli studi presso una scuola di diritto per corrispondenza, l’Università delle Samoa americane.
