La trama
Jake Epping, un insegnante di inglese di Lisbona, nel Maine, recentemente divorziato, ha la possibilità di viaggiare indietro nel tempo fino al 1960 dal suo amico di lunga data Al Templeton. Viene convinto ad andare nel tentativo di impedire l’assassinio del presidente degli Stati Uniti John F. Kennedy il 22 novembre 1963; tuttavia, si affeziona alla vita che fa nel passato, il che potrebbe essere la rovina della missione. Deve trovare un modo per raccogliere segretamente informazioni su persone ed eventi che hanno portato all’assassinio, creando e mantenendo allo stesso tempo una nuova vita per evitare sospetti.
