Atum è il dodicesimo album in studio dei Pumpkins, e come lo stesso Billy Corgan ci tiene a precisare si tratta del seguito di ‘Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness’ del 1995 e ‘Machina/The Machine of God’ del 2000. Atum è una rock-opera di 33 brani divisa in tre in uscita tra novembre 2022 e aprile 2023.
Per le prossime 33 settimane Billy Corgan presenterà uno ad uno i nuovi brani del disco durante il podcast Thirty-Three With William Patrick Corgan.
I tre atti di ‘Atum’ saranno disponibili in streaming dopo che i brani saranno stati resi pubblici durante i podcast di Billy Corgan attesi fino alla fine di Aprile. Il primo Atto sarà disponibile dal 1° Novembre 2022, il secondo dal 31 Gennaio 2023, mentre l’atto conclusivo e l’intero album usciranno in formato fisico e digitale il 23 Aprile 2023.
L’album sarà disponibile in streaming e in formato fisico, il vinile sarà disponibile in un box set limitato con 10 brani inediti esclusivi.
