Amii Stewart – Knock on Wood (1978)
Scritta da Eddie Floyd e Steve Cropper, Knock on Wood fu pubblicata per la prima volta come 45 giri dallo stesso Floyd nel 1966.
Ne fecero cover Otis Redding e Carla Thomas in duetto, Wilson Pickett, David Bowie (nel 1974), Eric Clapton nel 1985 la inserì in Behind the Sun. Nel 2009 anche James Taylor la interpreta nell’album Other Covers.
Ma la versione con più successo è stata senza dubbio quella di Amii Stewart del 1978, che raggiunse il primo posto come singolo negli Stati Uniti ed entrò tra i primi dieci nel Regno Unito nel 1979 e poi di nuovo nel 1985.
